Valleywood Community Day Skate
The residents of Valleywood took part in a community day skate in appreciation of the hard work done by dozens to create an outdoor makeshift rink for all to enjoy. A cooperative effort by local residents, the Valleywood Fire Department and regional representative Allan Thompson -the rink was the first step to what will hopefully be a more ambitious rink pad in future years. Sponsored by the Mayfield branch of the Royal Bank and Royal LePage a generous donation of $5000.00 was also made to the Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Peel. It was the perfect day to take a break from hibernation and get outside with friends and neighbours to enjoy great conversation along with some skating, street hockey, coffee and snacks.
