Caledon Walk of Fame
The cold, wind and rain didn't dampen the spirits of the large crowd to honour James B. Douglas on the "Walk of Fame" at the Trans Canada Trail Pavilion Park in Caledon East on June 6th. Known to millions for his acting career in such films as Tora, Tora, Tora and more recently Men With Brooms - he was acknowledged for his local community involvement and dedication to heritage architecture, presevation of small town quality of life and his zest for life and community spirit. His wife Myfanwy gave an engaging acceptance speech along with personal stories of his unique charm and character. Mayor Marolyn Morrison also unveiled the most recent addition of the Trans Canada Trail Donor Plaques - with many of the honoured donors on hand to show their support.
